See the latest pictures of Towy Riders in action!

Mountain biking is the most fun and exciting form of cyclesport involving a mixture of fitness and bike control. Riding off-road is a skill which develops through experience and practice. The very best riders can perform miracles, but every young cyclist can master the basics and enjoy the challenge of riding off road.

With the opening of the green route in the Brechfa Forest, the club has held a few sessions at Abergolech. This also involves the parents as they are required to cycle around the course with the children. The course has been specifically designed for younger riders but still has challenging downhill sections, corners and tabletops. Some of the older riders have ridden the difficult red route with its long descents and steep drop-offs.

Get into... Mountain Bike Racing!

To encourage youngsters to try the sport, welsh cycling are promoting a number of fun mini mountain bike events for youngsters to enjoy.

Events are open to anyone under the age of 16, and new riders are especially encouraged to give this exciting, fun sport a try.
