Towy Riders

Towy Riders Cycling Club is based at the track in Carmarthen Park in West Wales. Founded in 2007, it is oriented towards its youth membership and is involved in many types of cycling including teaching of basic cycling skills, racing fixed and free wheel bikes on the track, circuit racing, cyclo-cross and mountain biking.
It has grown rapidly to become one of the strongest youth cycling clubs in Wales.

News

A busy weekend of racing has just been completed (July 9th - 11th). Abergavenny Criteriums on Friday night, and Welsh Schools Hard Track Champs at Maindy on Sunday. Well done to all who took part. Photos and results to follow.

Numerous Towy Riders jerseys were to be seen at the recent Merlin Ride. The younger riders once again led the way, provisional results are that Mererid Hunt was first home in the 23 mile Towy; and Scott Davies, William Worrall and Luke Cornish first group in the 70 mile Cothi. A number of dads also turned out and all recorded excellent times.

Coaching sessions

We can help you learn and develop your cycling skills in a safe traffic-free environment with British Cycling trained coaches.

Saturday morning 9:30 to 12:00 (beginners) and Wednesday evening 6:00 to 8:00. Please note that you will need a helmet to take part. We have a limited number of bikes which can be used at our sessions.
